The circumstances of the babies who are placed with Baby G Safe Haven through the court varies from abandonment to neglect and abuse. The sad reality is that on average 40 babies are abandoned each month in Gauteng alone. Sometimes these babies lay in state hospitals for months where they are cup fed and they may not be picked up for any other reason other than to be fed, changed or bathed. There simply are not enough safe care facilities to cater for all of them.

We are looking for those rare individuals and companies who don’t just care about the welfare of neglected and abandoned babies – you do something about it.

How does it work?

⚫ Sign up to be a part of the sponsor-a-baby-campaign community by confirming your commitment and emailing your details to zelda@babygsafehaven.org.za

⚫ You will be assigned to one of our babies. We will send the ages and gender of each baby in our care.

⚫ If you would like to receive updates each month you will receive an email with the progress of the baby you care and sponsor.

⚫ When your assigned child is placed with a forever family you will receive the

incredible news and then be assigned a new child for your baby who you can track and care for or opt to stop your sponsor-a-baby donation until you are ready.

⚫ We also have a once off donation payment option, these funds will be used for all babies and toddlers in our care, for medical expenses and for their general well being.

⚫ We have a fund a crèche per baby per month where we will be sending updates on how our children perform in school.
